Zündapp did produce DB(K) models both before and after WW2. Engines may look very similar, but the specific type of the Noris dynamo was different and will NOT fit the other. Here is some guide on  how to find out what you have. Please do not rely on year of make (or what you think this year is). Imperatively check the stock hardware against the following information

It may also be that a crank has been replaced or you have a different engine there in the frame.

older models from before WW2 mostly, but not always had the dynamo centered on the carter by the carter reaching into the back of the dynamo.

For this you need:system 73 23 799
we also had cases of engines made in 1938/39 where the Noris dynamo was shaped as in later models as shwon here (dynamo centering reaching into carter by help of am elevated dynamo rim) but with crank as shown in system 7323
you needsystem 78 27 799
Here the back of the dynamo has a INWARDLY recess. Here your stock dynamo has some ELEVATED rim
The carter in turn has some elevated rim which enters the dynamo the carter in turn has a flat seat with centering opening into engine carter.

the front pin of the crank das a starting diameter of about 19mm. The rotor screw is M12x1 here also crankpin has starting diameter ogf  ca 19mm Durchmesser and screw is M12x1

For models after WW2 you will need  system 70 45 799

As the cranks may be interchangable and also you may have in a prewar frame a afterwar engine, it may well be that your Zundapp from before WW2 needs this system.

Here your stock dynamo has some ELEVATED rim  the carter in turn has a flat seat with centering opening into engine carter.
and here the crankpin has starting diameter of  ca 16mm Durchmesser and screw is M10
