You report: " I have no lights or battery trouble!"

• you are trying to overstretch the output by connecting too much load (mostly 55W headlight) whilst driving mostly in town or at slow revs
• bad battery, even if new (internal shortcircuit, bad electrolyt) a very frequent problem!
• a destroyed regulator (burned - you even can smell it)  (by short circuit or polarity error)
• physical damage on stator lighting coils (the coppery ones), 
  - often caused by fixing the flywheel during assembly with some tool introduced though its holes.
  - wire damage as result of bad assy of stator
  - damage to exiting wires under stator (sometimes only small dot size damage which however unser pressure from stator brings shortcircuit, sometimes only when insulation gets hot and retreats)
• missing or damaged wires within the old harness
• corroded switches and/or lamp sockets / bulb holders 
• shortcircuit inside electric horn (very often!)
• all is OK, but you get far too low voltage readings, especially on digital meters
  
  you can check resistance of lighting coils
  
• you find standard voltage output readings in relation to engine speed and load here
