for Maico 250/400/440/490/MC490/T

Fitting all Maico 2-strokes countershaft (3 shafts) engines made between 1978-82.

Here's a picture of the engine the system was made for.

Hint: rotor weight is 700 grams, for engines with 400cc and above we recommend 1000 grams rotor weight: 71 36 799 AHR

 

Magnet based generator with integrated solid state ignition. Light output 12V/70W AC. Ignition with own power supply from within the system. Replaces original Magneto as well as all ignition parts. Does not require changes on crankcase.
Important remark: All AC systems do neither support battery charging nor side indicators. You may therefore not normaly use it on public roads (unless your local regulations permit). Consult your local road traffic regulations for use in normal traffic. Should you need side indicators and/or battery, ask for a DC version of the system. for that here
