 System generator & ignition
for early air-cooled Yamaha RD with stock dynamo system with points ignition,  also for liquid-cooled TZ250
Please check the version of your Yamaha carefully. This one replaces systems with the original breaker. Engines with original magneto and electronic ignition are different! Please be sure to read our info here.
This system does not fit for (at least some, which ones??) RD400 engine cover no longer closes and would have to be milled out!


Magnet based generator with integrated ignition. Output at 12V/150W DC. Solid state ignition with own power supply from within the system. Replaces old dynamo, points, regulator and ignition coils. No changes on engine casing needed. The system is technically capable of running without battery. Fitting aircooled Yamaha RD (RD250/350/400, DS6/7, R5) with stock dynamo with points (not CDI magneto!) and (early) liquid cooled TZ250.
