Dropshipping orders? |
|
We sometimes get requests to dropship an order of a reseller directly to a
customer of theirs or from a customer to send directly to their mechanic. This is possible, but some aspects need to be observed. |
|
Within the EU |
We would send the goods together with a delivery note that details the
products, but does not show the price and informs who has ordered them to
the designated customer. As this creates extra work for us (we need to
make invoice and delivery note and keep track of who got what, we will
levy a small handling charge of 7 euros (tax included, 5.88 net) As we are obliged to stick to certain fraud prevention rules, payment has to be made by the customer who orders and who instructs us for shipping. We will not accept that somebody else makes payment (say a customer of some mechanical workshop, whilst the order is from the workshop). As this creates extra work for us (we need to make invoice and delivery note and keep track of who got what, we will levy a small handling charge of 5.88 euros |
Outside the EU |
Here situation differs, as customs, both German and destination country are
involved. It might be, that customs want to collect import fees. For this reason we imperatively need to add an invoice with the goods, which will have to show the correct amount, even if payment is made by somebody other (what we will mention on the invoice). Your local customs office (mostly via UPS as the carrier) may possibly want to collect import fees from the receipient of the goods. For this reason, we can definitely not dropship without paperwork, or with papers showing no or different value. UPS will not accept such shipments. |
